Same problem with the FLAC format. Artists of individual songs show "Various Artists" instead of the actual artist. The songs should show ARTIST= and not ALBUMARTIST= field from the VORBIS_COMMENT...

@Charly, ah. of course it doesn't have id3 tag information, AAC doesn't support them. AAC has its own system which I'm not at all familiar with.

So after some research i found out that the player displays the Artist Name if its an MP3 File, if its an AAC File the Album Artist name is displayed. So this is definitely a Bug. I think Ozymandias...

I think this is another issue. The tags were successfully read, but it is instead of "Artist" the "Album Artist" is displayed. Files are aac files from the iTunes store and self ripped aac files.

Songs from Compilations have "Various Artists" as artist. This is set as Album Artist, the Artist is set right in the File.
